Just a few more shots of an obliging Black-tailed Godwit at Titchwell RSPB that I have just got around to looking at. I like the last one with him having a scratch!
HI John...I like that one to ...I like seeing birds doing there thing.. I like the eye in the second one..that little head tilt is cute!! Nice ones.. Grace
These are awesome shots of the Black-tailed Godwit John! That second shot with the bird looking right at you is super! Then he was comfortable enough to take a scratch too ;-)
Dear John, I love to see birds scratch their head - so funny. I learned in biology that it can be a "displacement activity" - but more often, I think, it just might be an itch. I admire your patience: to get such beautiful photographs you have to be really, really good! Thank you.
It's always fun to watch them, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite bird to watch on Haydn's Pool John.. I have loads of pics and video clips.
ReplyDeleteYour images are wonderful to see.
Great pics have them in Poole Park at the moment... :)

ReplyDeleteThese are awesome birds to see, great photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots I was just wondering if this godwit feels the same frustration that we would if we tried to scratch with our foot! I presume NO!
ReplyDeleteHi joo,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit! It amazes me how non-plussed they are at Titchwell, obviously used to people!
J
Thanks Andrew,
ReplyDeleteThey are very photogenic birds aren`t they? I tend to go a bit mad in the breeding season and take loads of photos of them!
J
Thanks Lisa, they are lovely birds, so elegant!
