  1. Wonderous birds, our most beautiful raptor by far. I remember being amazed to see them in Wales as a kid in the mid 80s, when they were rather rarer than they are now, although they are still an uncommon sight in Notts

    1. I agree with you Simon! We are lucky in that they are a pretty regular sight, in fact, I see at least one on most days.

  2. Hi John. It's wonderful that the colours of this beautiful bird can be seen on your photo. I would usually only see a dark silhouette against the sky with this kind of bird. Not sure if I have actually seen a Kite but I think I would know it's outline now! It's quite distinctive.

    1. Hi Bazza. A bird with a pretty distinctive forked tail and very long wings, but when seen well, can't really be anything else.
