The fabulous Goldfinch. One of our most attractive garden birds! Despite the niger seeds I can't seem to draw them into my garden. CLICK HERE for Bazza’s mostly harmless Blog ‘To Discover Ice’
They are lovely birds Bazza! Forget the nyjer seeds and try sunflower hearts, that's what they feed on in my garden.J
When I moved house, I brought teasel seeds with me to grow specially for goldfinches. Whether teasels grow here and whether goldfinches live here . . . I have yet to find out!
I'm a great fan of teasels. Gold finches like them even better! Goldfinches always surprise me. They seem almost too exotic to be an English bird.
They are great birds Lucy. Someone i know calls them garden parrots!J
