      A bird normally seen as a blue flash along a river, but when seen properly, a truly beautiful sight.

    I know of a few local spots renowned for having kingfisher populations but I have only ever seen a horizontal blue flash! You must have a lot of patience John.

      More often seen as a blue flash, but when there is a hide and a good supply of minnows, you sometimes get lucky!
