Male Wheatear

This male Wheatear has been hanging around Maxey gravel pits for the past few days and has become more accustomed to a strange man approaching him with scope and camera in hand.

I have seen some amazing digiscoped images but yours are always so consistent.

  5. Greetings John,
Wow, what a fine looking bird the Wheatear is. I'm sure that said bird is fascinated by the human with his camera :)
Take care, my friend and have a peaceful Sunday.

    1. Hi Tammy,
Thank you. The top two were taken on a different day from the others, when there was a bit of sun in the sky, hence the different in light.

    1. Thank you. I am glad you could identify your bird, not all books give all views of birds. There is no substitute for seeing the birds `in the flesh`, so to speak.
