Sunshine on a cloudy day

Sunshine is at a premium at the moment, so this Yellowhammer is the only brightness I have encountered lately.

  1. Lovely images John, which are enhanced by dull weather really. If its too bright then the yellow detail gets blown out.

    1. Hi Roy,
Thank you, yes, the overcast weather helps a bird like this stand out with being too garish!

  2. Hey John, what a sweet little chap, great images captured!

Would you please consider getting rid of Word Verification? I had it suggested to me several weeks ago, and it was one of the best moves I have made with my blog, as it makes it so much easier to leave a comment. Everything remains very secure as well.

      Thank you.
To be honest, I didn`t even realise I had word verification, I have removed it immediately.

  7. HI John..These are awesome...and I can use he bright yellow sunny color to ..."rain rain go away"!!
I have heard so many complaint's about word verification, I have never had a problem with it, besides it makes for good eye testing ..sort of like a game to LOL ; }!

    1. Hi Grace,
Thank you, yes, `rain, rain go away, come again another day`!
I didn`t even realise that I had word verification to be honest, so I have just removed it. I don`t have a problem with the idea behind it, but I know a lot of people don`t like it, so it is easier not to have it.

  10. Hi John.
    You've got your bird.
You've got the month of May.
Incidentally, with reference to Mary's comment, above: if you click on the query mark there is a very interesting explanation of what that word verification project is seeking to do.
Also, please ignore the accidental comment I just posted!

    1. Hi Bazza,
      And it`s cold outside too!
I have seen why the word verification is in place and to be honest I haven`t really got a problem with it, but if it makes it easier for people to comment on my blog by not having it, I need all the help I can get! ;)
      Other comment ignored! ;)
