  1. Great captures John.
I'm finding this bird a bit difficult to catch with the camera at the moment. :-(

    1. Thanks Keith, they can be frustrating little birds, can`t they?! Sometimes they can sit at the top of a reed singing away posing beautifully and then another day, they will move at the drop of a hat!

Thank you for your kind words and, don`t worry, some things are more important than commenting on this twaddle! ;)

  3. Well captured John. I find them very uncooperative where photos are concerned. I do love seeing any bird singing in a photo :-)

    1. Hi Jan,
Thank you. Yes, as I said to Keith, somtimes they pose beautifully and then other times, not so! Very frustrating.

  4. Aren't these birds known as mimics of other birdsong?
Or am I confusing them with something else?

    1. Hi Bazza,
They have been known to add mimicry into their own song, most notably that of Coot, Wood Sandpiper and Yellow Wagtail. I wouldn`t say that they were known for it though.
