Black-necked Grebe at Ferry Meadows


Another day, another good bird at Ferry Meadows and only present for the one day too.

  3. Hi John. On the BBC Nature website they have a lovely picture of a BNG with a chick riding on it's back and a short video of two birds.
    As always, your photography is better than theirs!

      As ever, you are far too kind about my humble piccies! The grebe family as a whole tend to carry their young on their backs, I have seen Great Crested Grebes do it and it does look very 'cute'.
