Back in Decmber of 2009 I was lucky enough to go on a trip to the south of Morocco. This was a whirlwind tour of the deserts and mountains organised by Brian `The Natural Stone` Stone. The trip is described in detail by Brian on his blog, but below are some of my photo`s that I have only just got round to sorting out.

Black Redstart....one from my archive

Before any PBC listers start worrying this was the bird that was present in Exton village near Rutland Water at the beginning of the year! These photo`s were taken on the 7th March 2010, before I had started this blog, but I thought it would be okay to post them now!?

Juvenile Shag at Ferry Meadows CP

Finally a bird to add to my PBC year list of 2010! Having waited for what seems an age to add a `tick` this bird was found by Don Gardner yesterday morning.
Number 169 for the year and (hopefully) counting.

Holly Blue

Took ages for this butterfly to settle and `pose`. Holly Blue`s seem to be really flighty, or maybe it`s just me!

Red Admiral

This butterfly was on a `rough` piece of ground in the garden. It just goes to show that despite what some people think gardeners aren`t all that bad for nature!

Silver-washed Fritillary

Got a bit carried away with taking photo`s of this lovely butterfly at Bedford Purlieus!
