Shooting Dragons with a Canon

Still having a `play around` with the new camera! This time I was trying to get some shots of dragonflies and although the images below aren't amazing, I am fairly pleased with the results, especially the Broad-bodied Chaser and the Black-tailed Skimmer.

  3. Catchy title, it took me a moment or two to figure it out. Great "dragon" and "damsel" captures.

    1. Hi Gary,
Thank you. I have tried before with digiscoping the insects, but I do found a hand-held camera easier.

    1. Hi Grace,
I don't know about being clever, it just seemed a daft title to me! Thank you, hopefully the camera will grow on me.

    1. Thanks Bazza! I will have to think hard to try and get a good title for the next one, but probably fail miserably!

  8. Well I think they're excellent John.

The camouflage on the first Emperor photo is amazing, I couldn't see it at first, it blended in so well with the leaves of the water lily!

    1. Thanks Jan,
Is that a good thing, that you can`t see the first Emperor? I am not sure. ;)
