Just think if you hadn't got a tv you wouldn't have been able to watch Waxwings on your arial! Normally it would be the other way round and you would need an arial to watch them on your tv :-) Well done John! Have you speared apples onto your tree branches to attract them down into the garden?
Hi Jan, Thanks, but I have a confession to make, they weren't on my aerial, they were on 2 different houses in the village, I just couldn't resist the photos, but couldn't think of any thing 'witty' to write. Before, you say it, I still didn't succeed did I! I have put apples all over the place, but as yet, no Waxwings. J
I see that fat one has bent a Dipole on your FM aerial too! I suppose you heard about the two aerials that met on a roof and decided to get married? The marriage was a disaster but the reception was brilliant! Click here for Bazza’s Blog ‘To Discover Ice’
If I knew what that meant Bazza, I would agree with you! What's a Dipole when it's at home? I have heard that story before, back in the midsts of time! ;) J
Nothing like a few feathered friends to detune an aerial John. I would consider it worth it to see my first Waxwing. Only Starlings and Blackbirds taking the apples here.
I wouldn't mind my TV conking out if they were the reason why. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeremy, it beats actually watching the TV doesn't it?!

My TV is bad too but no waxwings on my arial.
ReplyDeleteIs that just the picture Mike, or the state of the programmes on it? ;)

Was that some form of Avian communication John. !!{:))
ReplyDeleteI am not quite sure Roy? They were received well though! ;)

I guess the waxwings wanted to tune in as well:)
ReplyDeleteYes, but they probably saw the state of the appalling programmes over here and flew off Tammy!

Sorry John, a Dipole is an element of an aerial! (Also sorry that the joke was so old but the opportunity was too good to miss!)
DeleteThanks Bazza, you are a font of all knowledge!

ReplyDeleteNormally it's Collared Doves and Starlings on the aerials, but this was a bit special! Same here about the apples, oh and a squirrel!

I'd put up with rubbish TV to have that many waxwings on my house! (we don't get any here :-()
ReplyDeleteWouldn't we all! Worth the licence fee on its own! ;)
