Bramblings still

Today has been dull, dank and thoroughly miserable, a bit like my mood. Still licking my wounds a bit after a big 'dip' at the weekend, but at least I have still got a couple of these Scandinavian finches coming to the garden, I just wish that they would come when the sun is shining. The top 4 photos show a male Brambling with the bottom photo showing a feisty female telling a male Chaffinch exactly what she thinks of him!

  1. Happy week John and I do hope it gets better, for my past 3 months have been more than drab! I think the bird images are absolutely splendid!

    1. And to you Mary! Hopefully, as the months wear on the weather will improve! I am longing to feel a bit of warmth on my back.

Do you mean a surprise that they are nice shots, or a surprise at the bird(s)?! ;)

    1. They give as good as they get Bazza, I wouldn't mess with them if I was a Chaffinch!

  6. Great shots! These fabulous little birds usually fly past us so fast that all we get is a flas of their wing colours. Lovely to see all the bird for once. Hope your weather improves, our matches yours here in Wiltshire. Minerva ~

    1. Thank you Minerva,
They are fast little critters, I normally see their white rump as they fly away! The forecast is slightly better for the week ahead, but it's not normally that dependable, is it!?
