    Great birds - I was fortunate enough to get good views of one on my last trip back to the UK - no pictures though.

    Some very nice pictures of a favourite little bird. One of those birds, like barn owls and red kites, that gets me just as excited no matter how many times I see them.

      A bird that is always referred to as 'The' Kingfisher, not 'a'. That's how special they are.
