Black Terns at Ferry Meadows CP
Two juvenile Black Terns were present at Ferry Meadows CP in Peterborough in the middle of the week, which gave me another chance to catch up with this lovely little marsh tern. This time the sun was shining and the birds much closer than on my sighting of the 6 at Baston, but my efforts are still not as pleasing as I had hoped.

Nice series of pictures. Black Tern has declined markedly here in recent years.
ReplyDeleteThanks David. A bird that I only encounter normally once or twice a year in Peterborough and sometimes not at all!

Nice captures John, I couldn't find them when I looked this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Roy! They were only present for a couple of days and it took me a while to find them when I first looked.
