Hi Bazza! Despite their colouring, a Kingfisher can be hard to spot, especially if it is perched in a bush. The pictures above were taken during a 4 1/2 hour vigil and the bird(s) were sometimes heard before seen. Learn their call and you might hear one as it flies by and then see where it perches. J
