Kingfishers at King's Dyke, Cambridgeshire

  1. I have still never seen one despite looking in all the known local haunts. There was a horizontal flash which was probably a kingfisher once! And you've got two in one picture.

    1. Hi Bazza!
      Despite their colouring, a Kingfisher can be hard to spot, especially if it is perched in a bush. The pictures above were taken during a 4 1/2 hour vigil and the bird(s) were sometimes heard before seen. Learn their call and you might hear one as it flies by and then see where it perches.
